Tehsil Office Gund Fully Functional, Says Govt | KNO

Srinagar, Oct 30 (KNO): The government on Thursday informed the Legislative Assembly that the Tehsil Office Gund in Ganderbal district, which was created in 2014, is fully functional with its headquarters at Gund. In a written reply to starred assembly question tabled by MLA Mian Mehar Ali, the Revenue Department stated that vide Government Order No. Rev (S) 169 of 2014 dated 18.07.2014, Tehsil Office Gund was formally created and has been operational since then. Responding to concerns regarding some offices functioning from Kangan, located about 40 kilometers away from Gund, the department clarified that the details of all offices stationed in Tehsil Gund have also been listed. As per the document, available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), key offices functioning in the area include: Tehsil Office Gund, Block Development Office Gund, Tehsil Supply Office (FCS&CAD),Executive Engineer, R&B Gund, Primary Health Centre Gund, Police Station Gund, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Offices (within 1 km radius). Some other offices, including Police Station Sonamarg, Fire & Emergency Centre Sonamarg, and Development Authority Office Sonamarg, are7 located around 24 km from Gund. The reply was signed by the Minister Incharge Revenue Department and countersigned by the Under Secretary to Government, Revenue Department—(KNO)
